Grant is, and always has been, the unseen guiding hand behind Network as its founder and chairman. Establishing the organisation and growing it into the largest (and most aggressive) PR operation in the country, he then stepped out of the limelight and passed along the mantle to the next generation of PR pros. An early PRINZ award winner, Grant pioneered the role of PR in the corporate/financial sector during the 1980'/90's, working across some of the biggest corporate restructures of the time involving sharemarket raids, acquisitions and mergers. He worked with many of the leading companies and with two - Goodman Group and Brierley Investments - he enjoyed a 15+ year relationship, working domestically and in off-shore markets for both.
He worked extensively within the Government sector and in particular lead Network teams that handled Government-sponsored - but independently managed - referenda education campaigns. After handing over the reins of the New Zealand team, Grant established and later managed the Network operation in Australia for over a decade.
